The Divine Choice: Manifesting the I AM or Succumbing to the Illusions of the Material World – A Reminder
Introduction: A Sacred Reminder of Our True Identity
When we (gods), descend to Earth to experience life in physical bodies, we are presented with a choice—a choice that defines the course of our journey. We can either choose to align with our true, divine essence—the I AM within us—and manifest as gods, for we are all children of God the Holy Father, which makes us gods (small g). Or, we may choose the fleeting desires of the material world, the bitter and sweet pleasures that are temporary and ultimately illusory, all of which are vanity.
The first path, choosing to manifest as gods and recognising our divine essence, brings forth Divine Truth, Wisdom, Understanding, Harmony, Love, Prosperity, Abundance, and a life fulfilled, aligned with the will of God. This path leads to a life of purpose, peace, and the realisation of one’s full potential as a child of God.
The second path, however, is one of distraction and suffering. The pursuit of transient material desires—the pleasures of the flesh, fleeting fame, and riches—brings about pain, greed, suffering, separation, and a life misguided by the ego and emotions. These desires, although not inherently evil, are often pursued without the guidance of the spirit. When led by the emotions, which are limited in perspective, they cause imbalance and distortion in the individual’s journey. Without the spirit’s higher guidance, emotions—focused on immediate gratification—become the master, rather than the servant. This imbalance leads to the painful consequences of human existence: addiction, envy, jealousy, and ultimately, a life disconnected from divine purpose.
While material desires are not inherently wrong or evil, they must be governed by the spirit, which holds the wisdom to access and harness these gifts in a way that aligns with our higher nature. In their proper place, material blessings can be a source of joy, growth, and fulfillment. The challenge, however, arises when these desires rule us, leading us astray from our divine calling.
The Call to Choose the I AM
Who We Truly Are: The Divine Within Us
As children of God, we are inherently divine. The divine presence within us is the I AM—the source of all wisdom, love, and power. The I AM is not a concept or distant deity; it is the truth of who we are. Jesus Christ, in his divine wisdom, repeatedly affirmed this truth when he said, “Ye are gods” (John 10:34). This truth is fundamental to our nature. We are gods in the sense that we are children of the Most High, and as such, we carry divine power within us.
When we choose to manifest the I AM, we embody this divine truth. We live not from the limited understanding of the ego or the flesh, but from the wisdom and purity of the spirit. As we awaken to our true nature, we become conduits of divine wisdom, truth, and love, radiating these qualities into the world.
It is written, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
Romans 8:16-17 KJV
In contrast, when we choose to follow the desires of the material world, we disconnect from the divine truth that lies within us. We become slaves to the senses, controlled by the ego and fleeting pleasures, which, while they may offer temporary satisfaction, ultimately leave us empty and searching for more. This path leads to a life filled with suffering and a disconnection from the true source of our existence.
The Dangers of Serving the Physical: A Path of Suffering
Serving the Senses Over the Spirit
The material world—although full of beauty and wonder—is transient. The pleasures it offers are brief and often lead to emptiness. When we place our focus on the physical, material, or emotional pleasures, we are engaging in a pursuit that cannot bring lasting fulfillment. In the Bible, we are warned against seeking fulfillment in worldly things: “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal”(Matthew 6:19). The temporary nature of physical desires means they cannot provide the lasting peace and fulfillment that comes from aligning with our true spiritual nature.
It is written, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6 KJV
When we are led by the flesh and the senses, we are led by the lower mind, which is often uninformed, selfish, and shortsighted. The emotions—when not aligned with the spirit—are volatile, prone to anger, fear, jealousy, and other forms of emotional turbulence. These emotions cloud our judgment and decision-making. They cause us to seek things that give temporary pleasure but never lasting joy or peace. The consequences of this misaligned path are evident in the struggles and suffering of humanity—wars, poverty, illness, and division.
The Path of the I AM: Divine Life, Wisdom, and Abundance
Living in Alignment with the Spirit
The path of choosing the I AM is one of wisdom, understanding, and divine fulfillment. By aligning ourselves with the spirit, we tap into the limitless wisdom and love of God. When we live from the I AM, we access the divine guidance that helps us make wise choices. This path leads us to experience peace, prosperity, health, and abundance—not through the accumulation of material wealth, but through the abundance that comes from living a life of harmony with the divine flow of the universe.
As we align with the I AM, we also gain the wisdom to properly relate to the material world. We are not detached from it, but rather, we understand how to use its blessings for good. The material world becomes a tool for spiritual growth and fulfillment, not the object of worship. As we follow the spirit, we learn how to use material wealth, pleasure, and success in ways that align with our higher purpose—serving others, expanding love, and manifesting peace on Earth.
Biblical Teachings on Our Divine Nature and the Consequences of Following the Flesh
In addition to the teachings of Jesus, we find other scriptures that affirm our divine nature and the dangers of living according to the flesh. “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16). This scripture reminds us that the Spirit of God dwells within each of us, and we are sacred temples, designed to house divine wisdom and power.
Furthermore, we are called to exercise dominion over the Earth: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:26). Man here means the lower mind, not a physical man, rather the mental faculty which governs the desires of physical things. And dominion is not over others, but over the Earth/all things experience in the physical and material aspects. We are meant to govern with wisdom, using the divine power within us to create harmony, balance, and beauty in the world.
- Psalm 82:6: “I said, ‘You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High.’”
- John 10:34-36: Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are gods’?”
- Luke 17:21: “The kingdom of God is within you.”
- John 4:12 (KJV) – “No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.”
- Acts 17:28 (KJV) – “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”
- Colossians 1:16-17 (KJV) – “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
- John 14:17 (KJV) – “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
- Romans 11:36 (KJV) – “For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.”
- “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” Matthew 5:14 KJV
Choosing the I AM: The Path of Divine Power, Wisdom, and Peace
When we choose the I AM and embrace our true nature, we walk in alignment with our divine purpose. This path brings forth a life of peace, abundance, and wisdom. As we choose the higher calling of the spirit, we also embody the qualities of love, compassion, and understanding, manifesting divine grace in every action.
On the other hand, when we choose the material path—pursuing fleeting desires without the guidance of the spirit—we find ourselves trapped in cycles of dissatisfaction, pain, and confusion. We become disconnected from our true source of power and wisdom, and the suffering that arises from this misalignment clouds our journey.
The decision to choose the I AM is not just a personal one; it is the choice to live in harmony with all of creation, to become the light of the world, and to bring divine healing, love, and wisdom into the world. We are all gods, children of The Holy Divine Father, and as such, we are capable of manifesting greatness, joy, and peace in this world. The question remains: will we choose the fleeting pleasures of the world, or will we embrace the divine power that resides within us, manifesting as gods from God The Holy Father, I AM?
Conclusion: The Power to Manifest Heaven on Earth
The choice is clear. When we choose the I AM, we step into our divine nature and power. We manifest a life of fulfilment, purpose, and joy. We embrace our role as gods on Earth, bringing divine wisdom and love to all we encounter. On the other hand, when we follow the desires of the physical world, we step away from our true essence, and the suffering that results is inevitable.
John 1:3 (KJV) –
“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
Now is the time to choose. Remember that the power lies within each of us to manifest heaven on Earth by living in alignment with the I AM. Let us embrace our divine calling and live the life we were meant to live—full of peace, wisdom, and abundance.
